Lake Meade and Hoover Dam

Drove through Lake Meade National Park, outside Henderson, Nevada.  Lake Meade and Mohave hold more than four trillion gallons of water, most of it coming from the Colorado River.  Lake Meade had historic high water levels in 1983, and now much of the lake has changed due to the lake level continuously fluctuating with population growth and draught.

Also took an opportunity to stop at the Hoover Dam, close to Boulder City, Navada, on our journey to Phoeniz, AZ.

Higher water levels depicted by lighter color.
