New Orleans, LA - Day 2

Started off the morning at one of our favorite spots, the famous and original French Market coffee stand, Cafe Du Monde, for cafe 'au lait and delicious beignets covered with mounds of powdered sugar and most of it on us which is part of the experience. 😊

Stopped into Cathedral Basiliea of St. Louis King of France which was beautiful!

Statue of General Andrew Jackson in the Square.

But the best part of the day was having lunch with a former colleague from IMN Solutions, Kimba Hart, who is now an attorney in New Orleans fulfilling her dream and specializing in contract law.  Was great visiting with her, seeing photos of her 2 year old son and getting a family update.

Photos from great oyster bar, Felix's, where we enjoyed lunch yesterday and is known as the place where locals go.

Photos of Arnaud, one of favorite restaurants where we lucked out in getting into last night enjoying live Jazz & Blues entertainment during a great New Orleans style dinner with our awesome waiter who made our dining more enjoyable.

Liked this sign in The French Quarter and thought of our friend Lee Conlon!

Enjoyed catching up with Lisa Thompson, Hotel Monteleon, and Susan Ives, New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, both long time friends who we've enjoyed working with, for drinks in the Carousel at Hotel Monteleon.

Stopped in Stacks on Magazine and enjoyed talking with Melvin before going to dinner at another favorite restaurant, Bon Ton Cafe.

Enjoyed talking with one of the wait staff, Sue, who has worked at Bon Ton Cafe for 20 years.

Group of musicians jamming on the street.

Enjoyed dualing pianos at Pat O'Briens.

Our last stop was Preservation Jazz Hall to hear real New Orleans Jazz from some of the older Jazz musicians!
