San Antonio, TX

Stayed in San Antonio to catch up with another long time friend, Casandra Matej. Enjoyed a drink with Casandra at the magnificent historic Menger Hotel, known for Teddy Roosevelt and his rough riders.  Casandra, thank you for the special arrangements for us at boudre's for a wonderful dinner on The Riverwalk. Andres took very good care of us.  You are special to us and so pleased we could visit! 😊

Stopped at Schilo's, established in 1917, for a great breakfast, excellent service and personable staff.  Enjoyed talking to the staff and even convinced them to be part of our blog. 😊 Check out the memorabilia including post cards from 1904 and 1910.

Stopped by for a quick visit to The Alamo and a photo of the Live Oak Tree.

Made one last stop at The Crockett Hotel, another beautiful historic hotel, for a quick hello to Shirley Dyer who I had the pleasure of working with this past year. 😊 

Tried to catch up with Michael Nash, Marriott, but missed him. :(
