Our next stop in Williams was for a photo of the cafe called Cruiser's.
Then we continued on Route 66 to Seligman, AR, home to Delgadillo's Snow Cap. From the time you try to enter the little cafe with door knobs on the left and right, one saying "pull" and the other saying "push" you become the staff's entertainment as they are quite the jokesters. If you don't pay attention when they ask small or large size you end up with a thimble size cup. Then when you ask for a straw, you are handed old used shredded straws. 😄
Then we really experienced old Route 66 by driving 22 miles across the mountain through hair pin curves and holding our breath when meeting another vehicle. This was the most scenic route with amazing views into the valley, but we needed to pull over, when possible, for photos to avoid oncoming vehicles. Was exciting but was also good to get over the mountain and down the other side!
